Students majoring in the social sciences often have the question, “What am I going to do with my degree?” Rice University students have an answer to this question in the form of the Gateway Program offered by the School of Social Sciences.
The Gateway Program is comprised of multiple avenues that provide Social Sciences undergraduates the opportunity to apply what they learn in the classroom to real life. Our professional practica, travel funding to present undergraduate research, and OwlConnect events are designed to link students directly with working professionals. Thus, prior to graduation, our students have an idea what it takes to build networks and become leaders in academia and the workforce.
