Becca received her BA in political science in 2004. At Rice she competed on the Speech & Debate team and served as President of Sid Richardson College and on the University Court. She also worked as a research assistant to two professors in the School of Social Sciences. After Rice, Becca attended Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. She moved to Washington, DC in 2007 to begin begin her legal career at the law firm Ropes & Gray. In 2015, Becca transitioned to government service with a position at the U.S. Securities & Exchange Commission. There she investigates and prosecutes violations of the federal securities laws as a senior member of the Division of Enforcement. Becca lives in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, DC with her husband, Ben (Sid Richardson '04), daughter Sidney (15), son Frankie (12), and Maggie the dog.
