Calvin Anderson is a 7-year veteran NFL offensive tackle and the co-founder of JB5 Investments, an investment firm that pairs disciplined long term public-equity investing with impact-focused real estate across the United States and Nigeria.

At Rice, Calvin was a 3-year starter for the Owls and the 2017 Brown College Student-Athlete of the Year. Calvin earned back-to-back All-Conference honors while studying mathematical economic analysis and graduating with his degree in economics. He went on to finish his final year of college football at The University of Texas where he was an All-Conference selection for the Longhorns and completed MSF coursework. Calvin later completed the Crossover Into Business Program at Harvard University.

Undrafted into the NFL in 2019, Calvin defied long odds to find career longevity, earning two multiyear contracts as a veteran offensive lineman with the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers after spending his first 4 years in the NFL with the Denver Broncos.  

Calvin serves as a global health advocate for the United Nations Foundation and was the first UNF-nominated Clio Health Impact Award recipient after lobbying on Capitol Hill for returned malaria funding during the USAID freeze. Through his and his wife's Lanihun Anderson Foundation, Calvin provides financial literacy education to historically marginalized communities. The Calvin Anderson Schoolhouse Apartments at St. Coleman - a transitional home for kids aging out of foster care that opened in 2026 - represents the culmination of the firm's real estate partnership with the City of Pittsburgh. In a lighter distinction, he was also the first professional athlete to serve as a Rubik's Cube brand ambassador.

Calvin is married to Sherée Lanihun-Anderson, a University of Cambridge graduate and co-founder of JB5 Investments, and they have one son, Ajani.
